Looking for local, luxury travel in the US with your favorite sidekick?! We’ve listed out the tried and true puppy friendly hotels for your next getaway! We know that even though borders are open again, not everyone is ready to grab their passport yet. Find some local places for mini staycations right in your neighborhood!
The Ritz Carlton Lake Oconee, GA
Where do we start?! We LOVE this Ritz location. It’s directly on the lake, which means amazing views, boat rentals from the docks and beach space that even your dogs can enjoy. Not to mention the (not-dog-friendly) pool is an infinity stunner. The restaurants are delicious and each night they set out s’mores by the large fire. There’s no shortage of activities here and it’s less than an hour and a half outside of Atlanta! Other activities include: Golfing on the Ritz course, walkways and hikes also right on the massive property, water sports on the lake (tubing, water-skiing), and tennis.

The world is your oyster!
The Broadmoor, Colorado Springs, CO
The Broadmoor is another favorite for pup travel. It’s especially delightful during the holiday season. Look to go between Thanksgiving and New Years for some great decor and cheer. There’s plenty to do on site and a short drive away; huge dog parks, Garden of the Gods, hiking trails, shopping and more. Check out the Golden Bee nearby for some live piano sing-alongs. Your pup will feel extra classy with their bed and set of bowls the hotel provides you with. Get ready for some great mountain views too!!

The Alida, Savannah, GA
This one has it ALL. You can walk to the amazing bars and restaurants that Savannah has to offer (plenty of nightlife included), you can relax by their trendy pool, soak up the sun at the rooftop bar, or enjoy water views of the river just steps away from this hotel. Dogs LOVE it. The decor of the hotel cannot be beat. It’s chic, classy, trendy. Every guest gets a reusable water bottle they can constantly fill up, with sparkling water even on each floor! Need we say more. Get this booked asap and grab your dog for a road-trip.
The Ritz Carlton, Amelia Island, FL
Now, I am not going to lie, we skipped bringing Tre with us here. We went for a mini-moon and decided we preferred to leave him behind. That being said, we will ABSOLUTELY be bringing him next time. The hotel is super dog friendly and directly on the beach. Everyone there had pups with them, we missed ours. We did go on a nice bike ride, played lots of tennis, got a cabana at the pool and even checked out the spa. We recommend the smoky old-fashioned at the lounge here!
